These taxes are paid by real estate buyers at closing on properties within the City of Aspen and account for approximately 1.5% of the purchase price. The Affordable Housing RETT accounted for collections of $905,000 in September, down -44% from $1.63M in Sep 2015. The Wheeler Opera House RETT portion drew $485,000, down -43% from $846,276 in Sep 2015.
