*From Dallas News Sep 25, 2018:  The buyer is Mehrdad Moayedi, Texas developer, also purchased via Concierge the Woody Creek ranch of one-time billionaire Sam Wyly for slightly more than $14 million, or 75% off its original $60 million asking price. Though several people registered to bid, only three actually participated in the auction, he said. The bidding began at $10 million and was ended about 30 minutes later at $12.75 million, he said. In addition, the buyer agreed to pay commissions and fees, bringing the total to about $14.3 million. The winning bidder was MM Rosemary Circle, an entity created by developer Mehrdad Moayedi, chief executive of Centurion American Development Group, one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s largest residential builders. He also led one of downtown Dallas’ largest redevelopment projects — the Statler Hotel. “I did not think it was going to go for as low as it was going,” Moayedi said Tuesday. “It stayed at a level where it made a lot of sense. That’s the reason I bought it, the price was right. Moayedi, who already has a home in Aspen and “two kids who ski a lot,” described the property nonetheless as an investment play. He said Sam Wyly put a restriction in the deed blocking further subdivision of the land but noted that at least four more homes of up to 7,000 square feet each can be built on the property. He also said a member of the Wyly family still lives on the ranch and is planning to move, though the current ranch manager and his family will stay.
